Significance of Navratri festival 2020, Day 6

The sixth day of Navratri festival is celebrated on 22 October 2020. The festival observes the worship of Maa Katyayani who is the sixth form of NavaDurga.

Maa Katyayani is said to remove all the obstacles of a woman in her married life. Thus, if a married woman wants peace and happiness in her married life, praying to Maa Katyayani with full devotion and dedication can help achieve marital bliss.

Maa Katyayani is seen to be the one who killed the demon Mahishasura and is also called as Goddess Adi Parashakti. She was worshipped by Sita, Radha and Rukmini for getting good husbands in their lives.

Mantra of Maa Katyayani Puja:
Kaatyaayani Mahaamaaye Mahaayoginyadheeshvari,
Nand gopasutan devipatin me kuru te namah.

Color of clothes / saree to wear on the sixth day of Navratri is GREEN.
