Significance of Navratri festival 2020, Day 7

The seventh day of Navratri festival is celebrated on 23 October 2020. The festival observes the worship of Goddess Kalaratri who is the seventh form of NavaDurga. The festival also celebrates praying of Goddess Saraswati on the Maha Saptami day.

NavaDurga puja is also performed on this special day. Goddess Kalaratri is believed to be the most destructive form of Goddess Durga and she is renowned for removing darkness and destroying ignorance from the globe.

Maa Kalaratri is also called as Kali, Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Mrityu, Rudrani, Chamunda, Chandi and Durga.

Mantra of Goddess Kalaratri Puja:
Him Kalaratri ShrimKarali Cha Klim Kalyani Kalawati,
Kalamata Kalidarpadhni Kamadisha Kupanvita.
Kamabijajapanda Kamabijaswarupini,
Kumatighni Kulinartinashini Kula Kamini.
Klim Hrim Shrim Mantrvarnena Kalakantakaghatini,
Kripamayi Kripadhara Kripapara Kripagama.
