Bollywood actress and fitness guru Shilpa Shetty Kundra has said an amazing fact about her sister Shamita on Neha Dhupia’s podcast.
Shilpa said that Shamita when had started her career in Bollywood, she had got an offer from India’s most successful film and Oscar-nominated Lagaan. However, she decided to go ahead with the script of multi-starrer Mohabbatein instead of Lagaan.
In #NoFilterNeha, Shilpa spilled the beans and said how both were big cast films and were scheduled to release around the same, so Shamita had take the big decision.
The role in the film Lagaan then went to Gracy Singh who made her debut in Bollywood. The film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker featured Aamir Khan in the male lead.
Shamita then made her film debut with Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and others.
Although her film career didn’t go smoothly as she had to go through a series of flop movies, Shamita decide to participate in reality shows such as Bigg Boss 9, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
