Vaccination: How to stay patient till your turn comes?

Covid-19 vaccination has become a need of the hour. With crematoriums working 24/7 and people losing their loved ones to the deadly coronavirus disease, it is better to get both doses of coronavirus vaccine than being sorry forever. Yes, it is a fact that the country’s largest manufacturers of the COVID-19 vaccine are ramping up their production to ensure they meet the demand for the vaccine in India and all over the world. Yes, people are trying to make sure that the vaccine reaches you at the earliest so that the impact of the virus in case it infects you in the future, is not huge and you still come out safe.

However, till the vaccine supply becomes huge so that it can reach out to the 140 crore population of India, you need to wait. If you are someone who has not yet even got access to the first dose of vaccine or if you are someone whose due date for the second vaccine is nearing and yet you are unable to find any vaccination center near you and getting messages from the Cowin official website that no vaccination center is available for booking the slot or your municipal officials are updating on their website that they are running out of vaccine stock, means understand that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Generally, vaccines take at least 5 years to come in the market. Now here in India, we have two companies who have ensured to get vaccines made for the citizens of the country and also the world and the government is trying its best to procure the vaccine and make it available to one and all. Now hurrying and worrying over vaccine is not going to be of use. Do not think that since you are not yet vaccinated, you are very unsafe or missing anything good in life. Vaccination for sure is necessary but till your turn comes, you need to have the patience and take all the required precautions like washing hands regularly, staying safe at home, avoiding public contact, getting enough sleep, following a healthy diet, and regularly working out. If you are mentally strong and do all that you can with the available resources you got, the virus cannot do anything to you. Just have faith and stay hopeful that things will change for the better in their natural course of time.
