Tips to stay physically active in lockdown

Whether you are living a lockdown life or not, it is important that you understand staying physically fit is so much important in today’s times. There is no wealth without health. People are struggling with the current health infrastructure that we have in our country. A lot gets reported and a lot doesn’t. However, the picture outside is not something to be proud of. We need to accept the fact that we are not having the needed resources to curtail the virus and even win over the pandemic right away. It is a huge process that is going to take as much time as possible to overcome these challenging hours of our lives. Thus, if you make being physically active a priority in your life, a lot can change for the good.

1) Start walking inside your home. Set a timer to do the walking with whatever space available in your small or large home. Make sure you walk inside your home for at least one hour every day.

2) Time to do push-ups, sit-ups, suryanamaskar, yoga, if not like a professional but at least with whatever you know and how much ever you can. See the idea is not to reduce your weight drastically but to ensure that you are physically fit and fine.

3) Clean up your home and take an active interest in the same. Now whether you have a maid at home or not, but research says that people who actively take part in their household activities are the ones who live longer and healthier. So, let’s take up the broom and do some bruuuum… wruuuum of your home and make it chaka-chak!

4) It is time to take responsibility for yourself. So, if you are a lazy bum who only likes to order your family to get things at your desk or table, this lockdown is a good chance to get up from your seat and get whatever you want yourself. Self-independence teaches you a lot of things about yourself, others, and life in general!
