Latest Lifestyle News: If you are planning to get vaccinated for the first dose against the coronavirus disease, then you should take care of your health and understand that there is nothing major to worry about. There are some tips to be followed and some things to be avoided to be done after you get the jab done.

It has been advised by doctors that you should take the vaccine only on a full stomach so that if there are any after-effects like vomiting or headache, it can be on a minimum level. Here are some foods that you can take and avoid on the day of your vaccine shot.

In the early morning, when you wake up, after brushing your teeth and doing your morning chores, you can have a garlic clove either raw or roasted with water. Then have herbal tea or tulsi and green tea. It will be a good way to clear your throat.

For breakfast, you can eat vegetable upma or poha. You can also choose besan halwa or some vegetable chilla for breakfast. Amla chutney will be good to taste with any of these mentioned dishes. After an hour or so after having breakfast, you can drink coconut water if it is available nearby.

If your appointment is after lunchtime, then you can have rotis, boiled rice with dal, vegetables, and curd. It is good to eat roti and sabzi first then have vegetable khichdi and then dahi. The curd will help in the digestion of the foods that you consumed.

Once you are back home after vaccination, drink coffee or herbal tea and have some dry fruits or fruits. You can also eat masala papad with coriander chutney if possible.

For dinner, you make preparations of the same in the morning hours only as it is reported that after vaccination, you would need adequate rest or sleep, so it would be difficult to prepare for dinner at a full stretch. You can eat the cooked rice with dal that you had prepared in the morning, make sure to prepare in excess in the morning so that the remaining can be eaten at dinnertime. Before sleeping, make sure to drink lukewarm water and then one glass of milk with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.

Maybe you may start feeling hungry after getting the vaccine shot, so it is better you keep some fruits, nuts and biscuits, and boiled water to drink. Avoid outside food as it is not good for your health. Sleep well at night and take an extra hour of sleep the next day morning also if you feel tired.
