The world is going through the worst phase of their lives by fighting with the coronavirus pandemic, which has put people’s lives in danger. We all sleep at night thinking what uncertainty tomorrow we will have to face and get up praying to God that let there be less number of infections and fatalities.

In such a scenario wherein we are spending the majority of our time at our homes only without any social or external activities, not only has our physical health hampered but even our mental health has been badly impacted like anything. Anxiety, stress, depression, suicidal thoughts have been increased manifold times during the coronavirus times.

A team of researchers of the foreign universities has found out that the covid-related stressors are increasing suicidal thoughts and self-destruction behaviors among the people. People who have high levels of resilience and are hopeful about the positive future are less likely to be affected by the stressors that the pandemic has brought in. Such people feel tensed when things blow out of proportion but they recover the tension soon by distracting their mind to the positive thoughts and behaviors and accept life’s changes without feeling very hurt or creating any drama in a negative manner.

Stress has been a part of the 21st century. Stress is caused because people are day by day seeing new innovations and advancements which makes it difficult for them to adjust and adapt and thus, they worry over unnecessary things and stuff that is beyond one’s control. Thus, experts say that one has to practice meditation and relaxation techniques regularly to feel good from within as that is in our control. Life is 10% of what happens to us and 90% of how we react to it.
