Recently, World Food Safety Day was celebrated all over the globe. Such days are observed to ensure that we are more aware of how to take care of our health in a proper manner. World Food Safety Day’s theme of this year was Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow. The day is aimed to create awareness about the prevention, identification, and management of food-related illnesses. Food safety is an important aspect to follow between consumers, producers, and governments. Each and every human being has a role to play in order to ensure that what we consume is safe and good for our health.
Production and consumption of food is an important task that has to be dealt with very carefully. During the coronavirus pandemic, we all are staying at home and feeling hungry at regular intervals as everyone is going through some form of stress that is making them more vulnerable and reducing their immunity levels.
In order to ensure that each and every member of the family have a good immune system, it is essential that the food we prepare and consume are in good hands. Some tips need to be followed strictly in order to avoid any contraction of any infection or virus among the family members.

1) Once you get the vegetables and fruits from the market, make sure to wash it thoroughly with tap water. You can even boil fruits before consuming them to reduce the risk of any germs or bacterias on them.
2) Make sure that your family members wash their hands with soap water before eating their food. You need to give the food at a hot temperature and do not eat anything that is refrigerated or cold foods.
3) Do not eat yesterday’s foods even if it is tasty or hasn’t got spoiled. Some people who have acidity issues may increase the risk of their health issues if they eat yesterday’s prepared meals. So, it is better before your lunch or dinner time, you can prepare the meals one or two hours before and eat it fresh and hot.
4) Make sure to wash the kitchen utensils with soap water and keep it clean in order to avoid any insects or germs coming into contact with the kitchen equipment. Before using vessels for the preparation and serving of meals, make sure to wash them well.
