Positive Media Day is celebrated on 22nd June 2021 in an attempt to spread awareness about changing the views and the state of affairs in media consumption on a daily basis. The day is created to control the negative impact that media has been slowly commanding on the positive impact that media does on people. Nowadays, people who work in the news domain think that negativity sells more than positivity, and hence, we should write and spread information on hatred and fear than positivity and love. This will make more people believe that the world is full of negative emotions like fear, anger, frustration, resentment and it is not a good place to live in anymore.
The moment a reader starts believing that the world has become or is becoming worst due to the negative news, we as human beings are losing our trust in the ways society functions. Positive Media Day is an initiative to make people believe that the world is more of a happier and good place to live in if positive and inspirational information gets shared or spread. Positive Media Day aims to inspire the media outlets to become a source of encouragement and motivation for people to look at the good in society and the world than only focusing on the bad and ill-representations that may or may not be true.

So much fear, criticism, jealousy, and hatred have to be removed or reduced by promoting good happenings in the world and focusing on the positive information and contributions of people who are trying to change society. Positivity needs to be incorporated in the mainstream media so that the whole perception of the world changes and people feel more comfortable living in it. If the news is positive and makes a person happy or feel inspired then such news feeds and articles should be in more numbers to make people give their best rather than bringing the worst out of them.
