New Delhi: As many as 19 Rajya Sabha members belonging to various opposition parties were suspended from the House on Tuesday for disrupting the proceedings. It happened on the heels of the suspension of four Congress members from the Lok Sabha. Among the 19 members, seven are from the Trinamool Congress, six from the DMK, three from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), two from the CPM and one from the CPI.

The members stormed the House raising slogans against price rise, inflation and GST.  Deputy chairman of the House Harivansh said that the members were showing disregard to the Chair.
