New Delhi: At a time when Ola is set to hire staff for its electronic mobility business, it is ready to lay off 1,000 employees, according to agencies. A report says that the firm is going for restructuring exercise in a few weeks and paying more attention to the electric mobility business. Those who have been targeted for layoff have been asked to quit, the report further says. Because of the financial crisis, many start-ups have resorted to lay-offs. Byju has recently laid off nearly 600 employees. Agency reports further say that Ola has laid off 2,100 employees from January to March this year.
