Indore (MP): A man who molested and blackmailed a school girl after befriending her on the Internet in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, has fallen into the police dragnet, official sources said on Thursday.
According to Annapurna police station in charge Gopal Parmar, the man was arrested on Wednesday.
When the girl’s parents noticed cash and jewellery missing from home and also saw a threatening message on her mobile phone, they were worried, Parmar said, adding that the girl is a student of class 8.
Nevertheless, when her father wanted to know about the message, the girl did not give any reply, but she told her cousin that the accused had taken her to a hotel and made her obscene video clips which the culprit used to blackmail her, the police officer said.
When her cousin alerted the girl’s father, he lodged a complaint at the police station, Parmar said, adding that they began an inquiry into the case.
