Kanpur (UP): Fed up with his criminal son, a 70-year-old man, resident of Gangapur colony under Bidhnoo police station in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, sought the help of police. In a video clip, which went viral on social media, the man was seen pleading with a policeman to save him from none but from his son. According to reports, the video is related to Nirmal Sharma who says that his 27-year-old son forcibly enters the house, beats him up and demands money at gunpoint.
The man said that a few days ago, when he refused to give money, Amit hit him with the butt of a country-made gun. According to in charge of Bidhnoo police station Yogesh Kumar Singh, the family is having a property dispute. On getting a complaint from the elderly man, the police have launched a search for his son. Amit jailed in connection with a case was released on bail six months ago, besides two dozen cases have been registered against him. The son of the elderly man is a history-sheeter, Singh said.
