In an attempt to make it easy for the users to move swiftly between accounts, Meta
Facebook and Instagram lovers would now be able to make a new account with the existing login ids of the respective apps and use it the same details to sign up for added profiles created for themselves.
The company is already testing this for a while with a small set of users globally for both iOS and android users to see if this works well and if the users enjoy this new experience.
To access and navigate across different accounts and profiles created for self-use, this cross-account usage will allow the users to see and attend to notifications for both apps in one place if they choose to add them to the same Accounts Center. The brand has done a thorough analysis and observed that the usage pattern is such that many people use more than one account in both the apps for many reasons and different interests and to reach to masses
Meta also shared that coming up with a new registration process to equip people with more control over their accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
People who haven’t used the Facebook or Instagram account ever will be made aware of the easy process, will be able to easily use a single account to sign up for additional accounts if they wish to keep.
