According to reports, it will enter the state through Gundulpet town of Chamarajanagar district. The party has also planned to hold rallies in Gundlupet, Mandya, Mysuru, Chitradurga and Bellary. After winding up its Karnata leg, the Yatra will enter Andhra Pradesh through Raichur district. President of the state party unit DK Shivkumar and his team are making all efforts to make the Yatra a huge success in Karnataka. He has visited different parts of the state and assigned the party leaders specific responsibilities. The Yatra has received huge response in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

In Karnataka, the Yatra will cover seven parliamentary constituencies, and 20 assembly constituencies.  It was expected that the Yatra would face resistance when it enters the BJP-ruled states and it happened even before it entered Karnataka.
