Patna: A law-maker of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Kartikeya Singh who has been inducted into the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance cabinet is accused of kidnapping and murdering a builder, sources said on Wednesday. Singh was to surrender in Danapur court on August 16, but he took oath as the new minister in the Kumar-led government. The incident has, however, caused embarrassment to the Chief Minister.

Kumar has formed a government after snapping ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). BJP leader and Member of Parliament Sushil Modi demanded immediate ouster of the tainted law minister from the cabinet. Former Union Law Minister Ravishanker Prasad also criticised the Bihar government for. Nevertheless, Kumar said that he had no idea about an outstanding arrent warrant against Singh.
