Boeing 737 cargo plane makes emergency landing on water in Honolulu

New York: A Boeing 737 cargo plane with two crew made an emergency landing in Honolulu early on Friday after pilots reported an engine failure. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said this.

An FAA spokesman said in a statement that TransAir Flight 810 was “forced to land in the water while attempting to return to Honolulu” at around 2:30 a.m. local time.

“According to preliminary information, both crew members have been rescued by the US Coast Guard. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the matter,” the statement said.
