Maa Kalaratri is worshipped on the seventh day of the Navratri festival. This year, the blue color is worn on the 7th day, which is a symbol of lots of power and divine energy. Maa Kalaratri has a dark complexion and fearless posture. Kalaratri Maa is the seventh form of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, which is also called Navadurga. As per the Markendaya Purana, Maa Kalaratri has initial references in the Durga Saptashati. Mother Goddess’s one of the different destructive forms has mentioned Maa Kalaratri as one of them. The various other destructive forms of Mother Goddess include Kali, Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Mrityu, Rudrani, Chamunda, Chandi, and Durga.
