Mumbai: A farmer who set himself ablaze outside the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan on August 23 died on Monday, the police said. According to reports, the farmer Subhash Deshmukh, a resident of Dharashiv (Osmanabad) immolated himself following a land dispute with his brother.

Deshmukh was admitted to the critical care unit of the state-run JJ Hospital with 45% burns. The police launched an investigation into the case.
