New Delhi: The northeastern part of the capital has been badly engulfed in recent fires of violence. Now that the fire of violence has cooled down a bit, it is learned that the Delhi Police’s failure is a reason behind the outbreak of violence.

In fact, when violence erupted in Delhi, around 13200 calls were received from the police stations in the violence-hit area. However, after scrutinizing the police call records, there have been serious questions about the functioning of the police.

According to the news, the calls received during the violence were not taken as required by the police. It is believed that due to this, the fire of riots broke out on a large scale. NDTV scrutinized the records of the two police stations in the violence-hit areas, according to which, from 23 February to 26 February, police control room calls saw a spurt. On 23 February, 700 calls were received, while on 24 February this figure increased to 3500.

On 25 February, the police received 7500 calls. On the same day, that is, on 26 February, it declined and the police received 2600 calls. Bhajanpura police station of Yamuna Vihar received around 3000-3500 calls between February 24 to 26. On looking at the complaint register, it was found that in most of the cases no action was taken by the police and the column of action was seen empty in the register.
