Lucknow: President of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Mayawati has urged the state governments to establish the rule of law so that the people may freely express their opinions. She made the remark in a series of tweets after a recent confrontation over the arrest of a journalist between the Chhattisgarh Police and the Uttar Pradesh Police. The authorities’ failure to take action on fake news, hate speech, and provocative speeches has kicked up a storm across the country, she said. She pointed out that due to such tragic developments, the rule of law is destroyed and the life of the common man is also being affected. She urged all the governments to act neutrally and seriously.
