Amroha (UP): A 32-year-old woman sacrificed her 18-month-old nephew as part of black magic in Malakpur village under Adampur police station in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Friday. The woman Saroj Devi and her husband were detained. According to the father of the deceased child, Ramesh Kumar, his elder brother and sister-in-law had lost three children soon after their birth.
He further said that when Saroj Devi had become pregnant again, the couple consulted a sorcerer for a solution to save their fourth child. Accordingly, they killed his infant son, Ramesh said. The child was under the care of Saroj and his grandmother Ganga Devi, but he suddenly went missing from the house. As Ramesh could not find his missing child, he lodged a complaint at the police station. After a day of the incident, a farmer found some body pards of a child in his sugarcane field and informed the police about it. When the police interrogated the woman, she said that had strangled the child to death and later, his body parts sere chopped off.
