Pizza delivery boy shot at for refusing torn note

Shahjahanpur: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has asked the officials to come down heavily on criminals, but there is no end in sight to incidents of crime in the state. Two persons shot at and critically injured a Pizza delivery man Sachin Kashyap for not accepting a torn note in UP’s Shahajahanpur district, the police said on Friday.  

The injured man was sent to a medical centre in Bareilly. Station house officer of Sadar Bazar Amit Pandey said that an FID had been lodged against the accused. Working as a Pizza delivery boy, Kashyap earned Rs 500 a day. The accused order a Pizza over the phone at 11pm. The shop was about to close then. After delivering the Pizza, Sachin and his colleague went to a shop to buy cold drink with the money given by one of the accused, Nadeem. As the note was torn, the shopkeeper did not accept it, so he returned to the house of the accused and demanded asked them to replace the currency note with a new one. The accused then shot at Kashyap.
