Meerut: The case of negligence in the treatment of corona positive patients in Meerut reached the higher authorities of district. District magistrate Anil Dhingra expressed his displeasure after taking cognizance himself after two videos of the allegations on the health department, and the Meerut medical college went viral. He gave strict instructions to the Medical College Administration that no negligence in the treatment of Corona patients would be tolerated. They should be given food and medicine on time.
The DM also spoke to the corono-positive woman admitted in the isolation ward of medical college and got to know them. The woman’s husband was accused by the Medical College Administration of being negligent in treatment and not providing food and medicines on time. Taking cognizance of this, the DM instructed the medical staff not to take any kind of negligence. The DM assured the woman that there would be no deficiency in treatment and no problems of any kind would be allowed. At the same time MLA Somendra Tomar also talked to the CMO and the Principal of the Medical College on this subject. The DM also held a meeting with CMO and Medical College Principal as well as other nodal officers.
DM gave these instructions in the meeting
– There should be no deficiency in the treatment of any patient, no negligence should be taken
– All patients get good quality food, no carelessness will be tolerated.
– Special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the wards of the medical college
– Keep records of every patient coming to the medical college
– Every patient going to medical college should keep a record of where they are being sent from isolation to quarantine so that there is clear information about each patient.
In fact, there was another death last night from Corona in Meerut and the family had put a video on social media on Saturday night and accused the Medical College Administration and Health Department of negligence.
Actually, Vijay Garg, a resident of Kesarganj Dal Mandi, was Corona positive. He died on Saturday night. On Friday, he was admitted to the medical college in critical condition for treatment. The family had made a video on Saturday night, making serious allegations of negligence in treatment. Saturday night was stirred to death. After the death of Vijay Garg, the medical college lab reported this morning to be positive.
The family of the deceased had made the video viral at night itself. Serious allegations were leveled against the Meerut Health Department in the viral video.
