New Delhi: Delhi’s cybercrime has made a big disclosure in the ‘Boys’ Locker Room case, saying that the’ Boys’ Locker Room ‘group, which had so much controversy about the gang rape of minor girls, turned out to be wrong. Delhi’s cyber cell has made it clear that the chat that caused an uproar about the gang rape is not done by any boy. According to Cybercrime Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anish Roy, “The girl had made a fake profile named Siddharth to make a reality check and entered the boys on Snapchat, along with giving the boys the idea of rape like crime.”
According to a report published in newspapers, Cybercrime Deputy Commissioner of Police Anish Roy said, the girl had created a fake account on Snapchat to know the intentions and attitudes of the boys. She wanted to see the boys’ reaction to what they would say if someone gave them an idea of a crime like rape or sexual abuse. So the girl created a fake ID named ‘Siddharth’. With the help of that fake account, the girl talked to all the boys one by one and gave them the idea of rape.
The police also said that the chat was in the month of March, which took place between only two people. This conversation was not held in any group. This screenshot by mistake went viral in the name of a conversation in the Boys’ Locker Room.
According to the police, a girl named ‘Siddharth’ had suggested the planning of her gangrape to a boy. However, the boy refused to participate in the idea suggested by fake ID and stopped the chat. The boy sent a screenshot of the chat to his group of friends, including the girl. But only the girl knew that the profile named ‘Siddharth’ is fake. One of the friends posted a screenshot as an Instagram story from where it went viral on social media.
The police have already arrested the group administrator in this case. Police has also arrested a minor. Apart from this, the police have identified 24 members of the group, including 16 minors. They have been investigated, and their mobile phones confiscated. Many of them study in prestigious schools in Delhi-NCR.
