Now two days of complete lockdown every week in Meerut to break the corona chain

Meerut: Seeing the success of the complete lockdown implemented for a day, It has now been decided to implement it two days in a week to break the chain of corona infection in the district

DM Anil Dhingra, while meeting at the Collectorate’s Bachat Bhavan on Friday, discussed the entire lockdown on Thursday, while meeting the officers of the Police Administrative and Health Department. During this meeting, the officials of most of the departments have declared the lockdown to be successful, and after that, DM Anil Dhingra has ordered to keep the lockdown complete two days in a week.

DM said that now on Monday and Thursday of every week, there will be a complete lockdown in the district. During this time only milk and medicine supplies will be allowed. Time will be fixed for that also. At the same time, employees of banks will do only internal work of the bank these two days. Only those industries which are required to run mandatory will be allowed to work in these two days.

He said that strict action is being taken against the culprits in the case of breaking the lockdown in Jali Kothi area late Thursday. At the same time, all the policemen, including the Sector Magistrate of Irrigation Department, who have been negligent in this case, have been removed. Action is being taken against all the accused policemen and officers.

Provision during complete lockdown

Only it will open from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM

  • Drug shops, milk dairy, petrol pumps – Banks will open but customers not allowed, only employees will work

It will be closed

  • All markets of fruit, vegetable and grocery stores
    Jagriti Vihar Temporary Vegetable Market will be open from 10 pm instead of 7 pm
