Nationwide lockdown to be extended by end of May: Nitish

Patna: Bihar government has appealed to the Center to extend the nationwide lockdown by the end of May. Besides, apart from labor-specific and general passenger airlines, it has also appealed to suspend all rail and air services during this period.

Sources said on Friday that this appeal was made in the suggestions sought from the states to decide the guidelines for the fourth phase lockdown of the Center.

The third phase lockdown in the country ends on 17 May. The source said that most of the suggestions of the state government are in line with the issues raised by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a video conference with the Prime Minister.
