Food Ministry also banned Chinese goods

New Delhi: The central government is closing its doors one by one for Chinese companies and its products. In this series, Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has said that no Chinese goods will come in his department anymore and a circular has also been issued in this regard.

Paswan has taken this decision after the incident involving 20 soldiers, including an Indian Army officer, in a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers on the border last month. After this incident there is anger all over the country regarding Chinese attitude and people are boycotting Chinese goods.

Paswan said that foreign goods will also be tested to the standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards. After this decision of the Union Food Minister, now the purchase of goods used in the Ministry and the departments and organizations under the Ministry will not include sugar products. Organizations like Food Corporation of India and Central Warehousing Corporation also come under the Union Food Ministry.
