Lucknow: The graph of crime against women and children has been increasing continuously in the last few weeks in Uttar Pradesh. There have been many cases of vandalism against women and girls in the last one month. In such a situation, the government has announced the start of a new institution to deal with this problem alone. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced ‘Women and Child Safety Organization’. Under this, a new unit will be set up, which will keep its focus on crimes against women and children. ADG rank police officer will be made the head of this unit.
The statement issued by the government said that the formation of ‘Women and Child Safety Organization’ and ‘Additional Director General of Police, Women and Child Development Security’ for the new post for the control of crimes against women and children. Construction is being approved.
It has been told that in Uttar Pradesh Police Department, units related to women harassment – Mahila Samman Cell, Women Aid Cell, 1090, etc. will be included under the newly created ‘Women and Child Safety Organization’.
Let me tell you that at least three places in UP this month there have been cases of rape and vandalism against minor girls, which have caused a lot of uproar.
