Shimla: Former Governor of Manipur and Nagaland and former CBI Director Ashwani Kumar committed suicide at his residence. Kumar has also been the head of DGP and CBI.
SP Mohit Chawla of Shimla said that he has committed suicide by putting a trap in his residence in Shimla. According to police sources, his body was found hanging at the residence in Shimla. Information about why the former IPS officer took this frightening step has not been revealed.
At present, the police team led by SP Shimla Mohit Chawla is present at the scene and is investigating in the case. Police has also recovered suicide note from the spot.
