Sonia Gandhi greets people on Deepawali

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday greeted the people on Diwali expressing hope praying that a million of lamps illuminate the country and hearts , and end the gloom of the pandemic.

She also prayed and wished that the festival of lights end the darkness of the economic recession caused to the fellow citizens of the country.

Ms Gandhi has also appealed to the people to adhere to all the pandemic related guidelines and the precautions as they celebrate the festival of lights, and further expressed hope that the festive, joyous and pious occasion will put the nation back on the path of progress, harmony and prosperity.
