New Delhi: On Wednesday, a new initiative was seen in Vigyan Bhavan amidst the sixth round of talks between farmers and the central government regarding agricultural laws. Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Narendra Singh Tomar were seen eating with the farmers in their langar. Farmers have been agitating against agricultural laws for 35 days.

Lunch took place after the first round of the sixth round of talks between the Union Minister and the farmers started at Vigyan Bhawan at 2 pm. It is considered a decisive meeting. During this, Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal and Agriculture Minister Narendra Sinar Tomar were seen eating food brought from outside by the farmers.

Till now, farmers have rejected the government lunch in all the rounds of talks between the farmers and the representatives of the government. Both sides were seen eating different meals each time. In these, the farmers were seen sitting on the ground with food in their langar to satisfy their hunger. A farmer leader said, we have been consistently rejecting the government’s offer of food and tea. Many times farmers also offered food to the ministers of the government, the ministers politely refused.
