PM Modi to launch crash course for frontline workers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a specially designed crash course program for COVID-19 frontline workers through video conferencing on Friday.

With this, this course will be started in 111 training centers spread across 26 states. The Prime Minister’s address will be after the launch of Crash Course. The Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will also be present on this occasion.

The objective of this program is to equip more than one lakh COVID warriors across the country with skills and teach them something new. The COVID warriors will be trained on specific roles in six functions namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Sample Collection Support and Medical Equipment Support.

This program has been designed as a special program under the central component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 with a financial outlay of Rs.276 crores. It will prepare skilled non-medical health workers to meet the present and future needs of the manpower in the health sector.
