President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed new governors in 8 states. Before the expansion of the Modi cabinet, Thawar Chand Gehlot, a Dalit leader coming from Rajasthan and Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment at the Center, has been appointed as the Governor of Karnataka. Apart from this, Hari Babu Kambhampati has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram and Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel has been appointed as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
Rajendran Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. PS Sreedharan Pillai has been made the Governor of Goa. Satyadev Narayan Arya has been made the Governor of Tripura and Ramesh Bais has been made the Governor of Jharkhand. Apart from this, Bandaru Dattatreya has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana.
