On Saturday morning (January 22, 2022), Delhiites awoke to a gloomy sky and light rain, as well as gusty gusts, as the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 10.0 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had previously forecasted light rain across and adjacent to the entire Delhi and national capital region (NCR).
“A Western Disturbance is expected to bring widespread rainfall to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, and north Rajasthan from January 21 to January 23,” the IMD stated.
Meanwhile, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research, the air quality in the nation’s capital remained in the ‘very poor’ category today (SAFAR). The air quality index (AQI) for the previous 24 hours was 342.

Due to rain, high winds, and better ventilation conditions on Saturday and Sunday, the air quality is expected to improve dramatically and fall into the poor to moderate category, according to officials.
