Apple Inc. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said that his employees who are working remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic have impressed him.
During a media interaction, Cook said that the company’s new products Apple Watches and iPads are launching this year despite employees staying away from the office amid the pandemic.
Cook said that he is content with the new remote working habits of his employees and he doesn’t find the company return to the earlier working ways.
Cook’s comments don’t match with the views of other company’s executives. For example, Netflix Inc.’s Reed Hastings called virtual work as a pure negative experience and Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase & Co warns damage if employees don’t start working in the office anytime soon.
10% to 15% of Apple employees are working from the office and Cook hopes the remaining staff to resume working from office in Silicon Valley sometime next year.
