He married his wife, filmmaker Tahira Kashyap at a tuition class when they were in 12th standard.
Both of them had a crush on each other but never spoke to each other for atleast a year.
Tahira’s father met an astrologer with his family and it turned out to be Ayushmann’s father.
The couple dated for years and saw each other evolving in their professions and finally got married in 2008.
They are now proud parents to son Virajveer and daughter Varushka.
