Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 in the drugs connection case. Rhea was arrested by the NCB about a month ago. But now Rhea has got bail.
The Bombay High Court has granted her conditional bail. At the same time, the bail petition of Rhea’s brother Shouvik has been rejected. It is clear that Rhea’s brother will still have to remain in jail. Apart from this, the court has also rejected the bail petition of drug peddler Basit Parihar.
“We are delighted by the order. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal,” said Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde.
Rhea Chakraborty has been asked to submit ₹ 1 lakh as bond and mark her presence daily at the nearest police station for 10 days after her release. She also has to hand over her passport and cannot travel abroad without the court’s permission.
