New Delhi: The case of corona virus infection is increasing continuously and so far 5734 positive cases of covid-19 have been reported in the country and 166 people have lost their lives.
Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Love Agarwal said, “A total of 5734 positive cases have been confirmed so far in the country and a total of 166 deaths have occurred.” So far, 473 people have been cured and discharged from the hospital. There have been 549 new cases and 17 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Joint Secretary Luv Aggarwal said, ’20 companies in India are manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), orders worth Rs 1.7 crore have been placed for this. 49,000 thousand ventilators are also being purchased.
He said, ‘Railways has deployed more than 2,500 doctors and 35,000 paramedics employees. Railways have converted 3250 coaches into corona virus isolated units, a total of 5,000 coaches will be converted. ‘
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 1.3 lakh samples have been tested so far. Of these, 5,734 samples tested to date are positive. Positivity rates in the last 1–1.5 months range between 3–5 percent. It has not increased enough. Yesterday we tested 13,143 samples.
