New Delhi: Today 18 new cases of corona have been reported again in BSF, out of which 16 are from Tripura and 2 are from Delhi. The total number of active COVID19 cases in BSF is now 276.
Earlier, 13 personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were found infected with Covid-19 on Saturday (May 10), most of them associated with the Delhi Metro’s security unit. Officials said that there have been 48 active cases of corona virus in this force with 1.62 lakh personnel.
In the last two days, two of its personnel died of this virus. Of the 48 active cases of corona virus, 31 pertain to personnel engaged in security of Delhi Metro and 13 pertain to personnel deployed in the security of Mumbai International Airport. The unit engaged in the security of Delhi Metro has reported the highest number of ten cases in the last 24 hours. CISF corona virus-infected cases have also come to light at Delhi Airport, three at Ahmedabad Airport, three at Kolkata Port Trust and one at VIP Security Unit in Greater Noida.
