Delhi has crossed the peak of second-wave of coronavirus: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the state has crossed the peak of the second wave of coronavirus.

The second wave of coronavirus in Delhi had started around August 15 and it was until September 16 that the state saw a significant rise in the number of Covid-19 cases being reported.

The daily cases reported have come down from 4,500 to 3,700.

According to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, the number of cases reported has come down by approximately 1,000.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare earlier also said that the coronavirus situation in India is showing signs of improvement as more than one lakh people recovered in a single day.

Delhi is among the seven states worst-affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. These states – Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Punjab – account for 65.5 per cent of the total confirmed cases and 77 per cent of the total deaths.
