New Delhi: Corona infection cases in the country have reached close to touching one crore mark, although the number of people who have overcome this disease has also gone up to more than 95 lakhs and the number of active cases is 3.13 lakhs.
According to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday, 22,890 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 99,79,447. During this period, 31,087 patients have become healthy, 95.20 lakh and the recovery rate has increased to 95.40 percent. The active cases have come down by 8535 to 3.13 lakh and its rate has been reduced to 3.14 percent. With the death of 338 patients in the same period, the death toll has risen to 1,44,789 and the death rate is still 1.45 per cent.
