India will be the first to receive a 50 million dose of Covishield

Pune: Adar Poonawala, head of Serum Institute of India, has given a big statement about the corona vaccine. Talking to reporters on Monday, he said, “India will be the first to receive a 50 million dose of Covishield’s Corona vaccine, given the population.” He said, “We are also members of Covacs, so we will provide vaccines to both at a time.”

Poonawala said, “We have 40–50 million doses of Covishield. Once we get permission from the government, it is for the government to decide how much and how fast it can take it. We will produce around 300 million doses by July 2021. ”

Serum chief said, “The first six months of 2021 will see a global vaccine deficiency.”
