New Delhi: Bharat Biotech has clarified the death of a volunteer in Bhopal during the vaccine trial. The company is conducting the third phase of its vaccine trial. The company said that the Vaccine volunteer has been informed about all the terms and conditions of the vaccine trial. He was treated for the next 7 days after giving the vaccine and no adverse symptoms were found in it.
According to Bharat Biotech, at the time of enrollment, the volunteer had met all the parameters of Phase 3 trial. He was found completely healthy under the supervision of the site till 7 days after the dose was given. No adverse events were seen nor reported. According to the post-mortem report released by Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, the probable cause of death may be cardiorespiratory failure, which may have been caused by poison. Police is investigating the case.
