New Delhi. The Center said on Tuesday that two new variants N440K and E484K of SARS-COV-2 have come up in Maharashtra and Kerala but currently there is no reason to believe that both these types are responsible for the increase in cases in some districts in the state.

In addition, a person has been found to be infected with a new type encountered in Brazil. Paul stated, “Both SARS-COV-2 variants have come to the forefront of N440K and E484 in Maharashtra. These new types have also emerged in Kerala and Telangana. In addition, three other variants – Britain, South Africa and Brazil – are in the country.
