Patna: Medical student dies of corona despite taking vaccine, 15 other students also found positive
Patna: A medical student of the final year of Nalanda Medical College has died of corona despite taking the Covid vaccine. 23-year-old Shubhendu Suman died in Begusarai while he took his first dose of Covaxin 22 days ago. Now all students of this medical college are undergoing RT-PCR test.
Shubhendu Suman took the vaccine 22 days ago. He took the vaccine in the first week of February but on 25 February he was found to be corona positive. After this he went to his home in Begusarai, where he was admitted to a local hospital on 27 February. But he died on Monday evening.
So far, 15 students have come positive in this hospital and many of these students had taken their first dose of vaccine a few weeks back.
Explain that vaccination has been started against Corona in the country from January 16. In the first phase, lakhs of healthcare workers and frontline workers were vaccinated. Priority was given to health workers in the first phase. The second phase of the vaccination drive has started from 1 March. In this phase, people above 60 years of age and those above 45 who are suffering from serious diseases will be vaccinated.
