New Delhi: The second wave of coronavirus epidemic is engulfing the entire country. The highest number of cases of 2021 have been reported in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning. There have been 40, 953 new cases of corona virus infection in the last 24 hours across the country. With this, the total number of infected in the country has increased to 1 crore, 15 lakh, 55 thousand, 284. In the last 24 hours, 188 patients have lost their lives due to corona. So far, 1 lakh, 59 thousand, 558 people have died due to covid-19 infection across the country.

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, there are currently 2 lakh 88 thousand 394 active patients in the country, while 1,11,07,332 patients have become completely healthy with corona infection. So far 4,20,63,392 people have been vaccinated against covid-19 in the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research has reported that as of March 19, 2021, a total of 23,24,31,517 samples were tested. Of these, a total of 10,60,971 samples have been tested only yesterday.
