20 people died amid oxygen shortage at Delhi’s Jaipur Golden Hospital

New Delhi: The lack of oxygen in Delhi is now proving fatal. After Sir Gangaram Hospital, 20 patients have died late in the night due to lack of oxygen at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini. The medical director of the hospital says that 3.5 metric tons of oxygen has been allotted to the hospital by the government, which was to be refilled from yesterday but did not get refilled late at night. On Friday night, only 1500 liters of refilling was done, due to which 20 Covid patients died.

The hospital currently has more than 200 patients admitted at the hospital, who are in need of oxygen.

As Delhi hospitals face an acute shortage of oxygen, the COVID-19 cases in the national capital are on the rise. Delhi recorded 24,331 fresh COVID-19 cases and 348 related deaths on Friday.
