Justice DY Chandrachud tests positive for COVID-19

New Delhi: Supreme Court judge Justice DY Chandrachud has tested positive for COVID-19. A staff member of the judge had also tested positive earlier. It is learnt that the judge is recovering well, Bar & Bench reported.

As Chairperson of the Supreme Court E-committee, Justice Chandrachud has been instrumental in ensuring that courts across the country function virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He is currently also heading the Bench which is hearing the suo motu case concerning COVID-19 issues. He sat to hear the case via video conference on Monday, even as the hearing eventually got deferred for Thursday due to technical glitches.

The case will now be heard on Thursday.
