New Delhi: There has been a decrease in the new cases of corona virus in the country for the last few days, but the figure of deaths has remained above four thousand. According to the latest data released on Monday by the Ministry of Health, 2,81,386 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. During this time, 4,106 patients have died due to the deadly virus. The matter of concern is that the number of deaths still remains beyond 4,000.
After the arrival of new cases of infection, now the total number of infected people in the country has reached close to 25 million (2,49,65,463). On the other hand, 2,74,390 people have lost their lives due to the virus so far. The infection rate in the country has come down to 17.88 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 3,78,741 patients have managed to recover from the infection, while a total of 2,11,74,076 people have been able to win the war against the global pandemic. In the last 24 hours, there has been a significant decrease in the number of active patients as the number of healthy patients is more than the new patients. However, 35,16,997 people are still being treated in the country.
